La Pila sits in the hills above Assisi, surrounded by forest, cypress trees, and wide views over the Umbrian landscape. Here you find the luxury that nature gives, enriched by centuries of Franciscan history.
After the passing of Saint Francis, monks came to this hill in search of solitude and silence. The ruins of their monastery remain as a quiet, powerful presence that gives the land a particular spirit.

From the earth
Built with stone from the land, in continuity with the surrounding nature. Our kitchen is supplied by the on-site garden and local producers where possible.

Shaped by care
Meaningful work, ecology and human connection come together. Family-run, we believe caring means taking responsibility for the world around us.
